KUALA LUMPUR: The Society of Royal Datuks of Selangor has come out strongly to support the Sultan of Selangor’s statement on recent developments in Perak.
After a two-hour meeting yesterday, its president Datuk Abdul Ghani Pateh Akhir said that Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah’s reminder was timely in calling for Malaysians to “uphold what is right, by taking into consideration the future of our beloved nation, under our national Constitution inclusive of the constitutions of all states”.
Sultan Sharafuddin has recently expressed his sadness and disappointment over the disputes on the recent appointment of the new Perak Government to the extent of displaying rudeness to the Sultan of Perak.
“Nothing really matters more to the quality of our lives than the way we treat one another; than our capacity to live respectfully together, with a full, generous regard for the feelings of others,” said Abdul Ghani.
